This course is designed to offer K-12 educators insight into the various lifestyle illnesses that negatively affects our student population today. Early intervention and education at even the elementary level will help prevent some of these deadly diseases. Several different diseases will be discussed including, but not limited to skin cancer and sun safety, breast and testicular cancer (most testicular cancers affect men aged 15-34) Discussion will center around how to teach your students to protect themselves. The course focuses on a preventive approach rather than a reactive approach and will focus on various treatments as well.
